Within the film it will heavily rely on the use of archive footage throughout to support the audio and narration, this will be used as it is effective at adding context to the storys being portrayed in the narrative of the documentary. However, it was raised in the feedback at the necessary costs and implications of using such footage. For use in the film/ trailer the permissions must be seeked allowing for it to be used in the production to prevent any legal implications with regards to things such as intellectual property rights and copyrights act. In addition to this it is likely this would also incur significant costs to do so therefore this would have to be accounted for within the budget. Despite this there are also several archives and sites which provide royalty free stock footage which therefore avoids both the cost and legal implications.
Within the film trailer I made mention to frequent use of kinetic typography within the piece. From the feedback questions were raised about how this would be achieved and what experience the production team has in the area. For this there are several options which could be explored, for example this effect can be replicated in softwares such as Adobe After Effects or alternatively Cinema 4D. Most likely, Cinema 4D would be used as i have a basic understanding of key framing, animating and modelling in 3D space using this software, therefore allowing me to effectively create an animated title sequence/ trailer.
A further point made mention too in the feedback was the legal and ethical implications due to the nature of the documentary. Due to the piece covering human stories, considerations into several aspects of the story have to accounted for to avoid telling an untruthful and therefore inaccurate accounts of stories. Subsequently, this defeats the objective of the documentary which intends to tell a story of history. In addition to this it could also possibly cause offence to those viewing the final product if they were some what involved in the accounts, if this was perceived to be slanderous it could result in legal implications and prosecution, incurring further costs and an unsuccessful product.
